For sale I have a  factory refurbished Zivan NG1,  72 Volt charger for a GEM electric car (Polaris/NEV/Think/Global Electric Motors) and other golf carts with a 72 voltage charging system.  This charger has just come back from the factory and has been micro updated, T-3 Extended, completely gone through to insure that all parts are working as they were made to do, updated, cleaned, tested and is working as it was made to perform.  The microprocessor for NG charger, program Y5 was modified for increased final current and time for higher battery SG capacity and restart.  There are no cosmetic enhancements done on this charger other than cleaning. The photos you see are the exact charger you will be receiving. There are some very minor surface scratches on the mounting plate and exterior.  This charger is  for lead acid batteries (AMG), Trojan batteries OR  GEL batteries. The unit is "switchable" for either Gel or lead acid batteries.  If for some reason there is an issue after transportation, we will stand behind our chargers and will replace it immediately, we guarantee all our parts. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask, we are happy to help.

Since there's more out there than we'd ever be able to cover, here's our daily digest of car stuff on the Web you may not otherwise have heard about. To participate in the 24 Hours of LeMons you not only need a sub-$500 car, but you also have to find a gimmick.

Range Rover Hybrid completes Silk Trail Expedition to India (video)

Tue, 15 Oct 2013

Range Rover Hybrid completes Silk Trail Expedition to India Land Rover has been busy for the last 53 days taking a trio of Range Rover Hybrids down the Silk Trail from Land Rover’s home in the Midlands to Tata’s home in India. In the process, the three Range Rover Hybrids, and their Land Rover support vehicles, have covered 10,472 miles in 53 days covering every terrain imaginable – and averaged 36mpg in the process. The whole point of the outing was to give the hybrid Range Rover a proper workout ahead of its customer launch, and the trek to India certainly provided that with everything from sea level to 5500 metres and temperatures from -10 to 43C along the way, not to mention the vast array of terrain from tarmac to non-existent byways.

Insurance interest costs motorists millions

Almost a third of people (31%) pay their car insurance by monthly direct debit, market research from Consumer Intelligence has discovered.
