Aston unveils new Vantage racer

By Digby Fullam First Official Pictures 17 November 2008 14:15 Aston Martin’s Vantage N24 has given way to this new GT4 – a race-spec Vantage aimed at pro racers and track day enthusiasts alike. The arrival of the GT4 leaves Aston in the unique position of being the only manufacturer producing cars in each GT class. The new car has been six months in development, with Aston hopeful that it will build on the success of the N24, winner of this year’s Nurburgring 24 Hours.

That feeling was more than affirmed a couple of weeks ago when Aston Martin released a few official pictures of the Cygnet and gave us some production targets – 2000 a year in Europe. But only sold to existing AM customers.

New Jaguar XE teased

Jaguar reveal a teaser image of the new XE Jaguar’s new smaller car – effectively a replacement for the Mondeo-based X-Type – has been coming for what seems a very long time, but it was finally officially announced at the Geneva Motor Show in March. At the time, all we got was a front-end view of the new XE as Jaguar attempted to whet appetites, but now we get the first official teaser from Jaguar of their new baby saloon. Covered in a bizarre camouflage of add-on panels and white paint, the XE looks to have the proportions of the XF, just on a smaller scale.
