Weymouth, Massachusetts, United States
Used. Complete working electro-hydraulic power TILT unit for 1970's 3-Cyl & V4 OMC outboards.
Brand:OMC / Prestolite Country/Region of Manufacture:United States

Shown is the Prestolite-built power TILT system that was optional on 1970's Johnson and Evinrude outboards until the newer trim system was introduced in 1979 or mid-year of '78. It uses a single light-duty cylinder to TILT the outboard for beaching/trailering or shallow-water running at LOW speeds. It is not intended as a trim unit at cruising speed. Switch panel distinctly says "TILT" and NOT "trim" and they never used a handle-mounted switch for this option. You will know if this fits your outboard by looking underneath for that big cast aluminum trailering support. These motors have two shock absorbers - later ones have a single shock - and the tilt cylinder replaces the starboard side shock. Motor and pump assembly bolts to starboard transom saddle. This is all in good working condition off a fresh water boat. Given the extreme scarcity of tilt/trim systems available for OMC's of this vintage, this will probably be your most affordable option if you're tired of busting your hump lifting that V4 motor out of the water. You will get all parts required to retrofit this onto your motor including the wiring harness and tilt switch with mounting panel. The pump/motor assembly alone is worth most of what I'm asking for the whole deal. Check my FB and bid with confidence. Please Ask-a-Question if you have any, well, questions about this item; I'm here to help you get your vintage outboard up&running for cheap dough. Thanks for looking.

Peugeot RCZ revealed

Mon, 17 Aug 2009

Peugeot has finally released details of the Peugeot RCZ, which will launch at Frankfurt Despite our previous criticisms that the Peugeot RCZ looked like a clone of the old Audi TT, we think it’s a great looking car. It’s a real statement of intent to push Peugeot more towards the ‘Sporty’ and leave Citroen to do the ‘Luxury’. And it looks set to cost less than £20k (as a starting point) when it finally goes on sale next Spring after an official reveal at Frankfurt next month.
