Top Gear tackle a live Volcano in a Toyota in Iceland Top Gear is off air at the moment – if you don’t count the endless repeats on BBC2, BBC3 and Dave – and that usually means that the boys are off somewhere exotic. It looks as if the boys have take the same Toyota they used in the trip to the North Pole – with May and Clarkson in the Toyota and Hamster on a sled – and done a modification or three to suit the heat instead of the cold.

Future products: Geely must retool Volvo plans

Ford Motor Co.'s sale of Volvo to Geely in August leaves doubt about the Swedish company's product plans. For example, all of Volvo's current range except the 9-year-old XC90 crossover makes use of Ford vehicles and components. The XC90 is based on Volvo's P2 platform and was developed before Ford ownership.

Saabs are being built and the Saab Museum re-opens. The Saab Museum has reopened after Saab’s bankruptcy problems and a Trollhatten dealer is to ‘build’ the last 100 Saabs. We’re still waiting for a decision from Saab’s administrators about which – if any – of the bids they’ve received for what’s left of Saab are solid enough to pursue.
