Listed is the boring and honing per cylinder on all makes of 2-stroke or 4-stroke outboard marine engines. 

Precision Cycle & Marine has been boring and re-sleeving outboard engines for over 30 years. Our services include machining, fabricating, welding & repair. Precision Cycle & Marine carries after-market and O.E.M. engine kits to rebuild most outboard engines. Precision Cycle & Marine specializes in marine outboard engine machining so specific machining quality and turn-around is our main focus. 

 

Item includes services:
**All Covers & Studs must be removed from block or an extra charge will apply**

1. Cylinder Boring
(using a Quick way vertical boring bar)
Tolerance of .0005 (1/2 of 1 thousands) of specified bore clearance.

2. Flex Honing of the cylinder.

Handling time for this item is listed at 3 days but many times we are able to ship the engine block back out the same day we receive it.

***Chrome, nikasil, and electrofusion-lined cylinders cannot be re-bored.  If too much clearance or out-of-roundness exists, the cylinder must be replaced, re-plated, or sleeved with a cast iron liner.  We offer sleeving in-house and the sleeve will require boring there after.***

Please contact us before shipping the block to discuss the details of the job.

In some situations the cylinder cannot be rebored and needs to be resleeved. If the block is received by us and it is damaged beyond just reboring we will notify you before proceeding. If the customer chooses not to proceed with a resleeve for whatever reason they will not be charged for cylinder boring labor. The customer will receive a refund of the cost of the item minus/subtract a $25 handling fee. The customer will also be responsible for the full amount of return shipping charges

 

SHIPPING:
-Actual shipping rates vary depending on size and weight of engine block. 

-There is a $15 handling fee included in the shipping rate for packing supplies and variances in actual shipping fees.

-The shipping listed is using an example of a 75 lbs. package which is about average. The heaviest of V-6 blocks run about 100 lbs. after packaged safely for shipping. For customer satisfaction and reduced liability to us shipping insurance is REQUIRED for all blocks being shipped back to the customer.
