This is an SEI Marine Products SE206 lower unit (ShopSEI.net). It is slightly more than one year old. I did wire brush it and repaint it, but it is in excellent condition. It’s a 1.87 gear ratio, 25” shaft, and the oil that came out looked just fine. It has a 13 spline shaft which makes it suitable for a Mercury 2.5 or a Yamaha. It was previously on a 2000 Mercury 200hp engine that burned a piston.

Yesterday we reported that Bugatti are teasing ’the latest example of exceptional Bugatti performance’, which we thought might be the much touted ‘Super’ Veyron offering 1600hp.

Mon, 18 Jan 2010In the new February 2010 issue of CAR Magazine, we join 1979 F1 champion Jody Scheckter for a tour of his biodynamic farm.
