Porsche 911 RS models through the ages – on video
Fri, 26 Mar 2010By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 26 March 2010 06:35 Porsche GB has issued a rather cool video detailing the history of the 911 RS models – filmed in situ at the new Porsche Experience Centre in Silverstone.Unlike most corporate videos, this one is remarkably free of commercial sells – although we should remember its presenter will be a tad biased! But we're posting it here because we reckon it's a great video guide to the most hardcore of 911s, tracing the history of the lightweight Renn Sport specials all the way back from the 1973 original up to the present day.>> Rip-off or rip-rorting? Lotus to double production – Return to Motorsport
Thu, 26 Nov 2009Lotus CEO Dany Bahar plans to double production at Hethel and return to Motor Sport Through all the gloom and doom car makers have reported over the last year and more there has been one shining light which has seemed impervious to the downturn – Lotus. They’ve not only remained profitable but they’ve managed to bring to market a new car – the Lotus Evora – which has not only been pretty well universally praised but has a full order book to boot. Clever trick.
Puzzling Parking Signs 'Confuse' Motorists
Fri, 27 Jun 2014A NEW survey has revealed that parking signs confuse motorists, to the point that it can lead to drivers being penalised for their unintended transgressions. The poll, conducted by car insurance company Churchill, found that of those fined, clamped or who had their vehicle towed away in the last two years, 22% said they were unable to understand the parking restrictions in that area. Also, 41% of the 2,001 people polled said parking signs in their area were confusing, while 33% avoided parking in their local town or city centre for this very reason In addition, the puzzling signs led to 9% avoiding parking around their own residential area.
