The MotorGuide® Pinpoint® GPS Gateway Kit brings together your MotorGuide Xi5 trolling motor with Pinpoint GPS and Lowrance® fishfinder/chartplotter technologies for a whole new level of functionality and boat control. The Kit allows you to connect your Xi5 with a Lowrance HDS Gen2 or Gen2 Touch via the plug-and-play NMEA® 2000 network.


Seamlessly integrated, the package provides anglers new fishing strategies. All of the functions controlled by your Pinpoint GPS handheld remote can be operated from a compatible Lowrance display utilizing Lowrance SmartSteer™. These functions include Anchor, Heading Lock, Route Record/Playback, Cruise Control and more. In addition, an intuitive user interface makes it easy for anglers to create new fishing strategies while their electronics and trolling motor handle the rest. Use your fishfinder to determine optimum anchor and waypoint locations; set, recall, and navigate to positions right on the display. Peugeot and Philippe Starck design bicycle for Bordeaux scheme

Peugeot and accomplished designer Philippe Starck, have developed a unique bike for the city of Bordeaux as part of their continuous promotion of cycling in the city. The new concept of bike-scooter, proposed by Starck and adapted for production by Peugeot, will help in the city's ongoing efforts to improve mobility within Bordeaux. In 15 years the number of cyclists has tripled after a number of initiatives came into effect, two examples being limiting traffic and developing the tramway within the city.

Endurance-drivers seminar highlights Amelia Island concours

If there were a Hall of Fame for endurance drivers, the nine gentlemen assembled on Saturday at the 17th-annual Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance would certainly be members. Event founder and chairman Bill Warner needed 25 minutes just to read off a portion of their lifetime racing accomplishments as he introduced them individually to a packed ballroom at the Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island, home of the event. Hurley Haywood, Vic Elford, Sam Posey, Joe Buzzetta, Gerard Larousse, Brian Redman, Jim Hall, David Hobbs and Derek Bell regaled the audience with tales of their amazing careers.
