The box was opened for photography purposes so you can see everything that you will be receiving with this complete kit. This system is the Invision Rev2 series with features such as... Make time fly for your rear-seat passengers with a DVD Rear Seat Entertainment System. It's the holiday traveling season. Don't you want to get to your destinations happy instead of ready to wring your kid's necks because "he's looking at me again" or "she's hitting me"? No more "Found a peanut" or "I spy". Now they can quietly enjoy the latest movie hits or play the latest video games. The dual LCD monitors and DVD players are mounted inside of the rear of the front seat headrests. Wireless headphones and remote controls allow rear passengers to enjoy the audio program without disturbing the driver or other passengers. Passengers can watch 2 different movies, or 1 movie, or play video games with the RCA jacks. Audio can be through wireless headphones for privacy or through FM frequency radio for all to hear. 1 will allow you to connect this system to a factory or OEM NAV/DVD
Head unit using your RCA cables so you can send video and audio from
your head unit to your headrests, or from your headrests to a
non-Invision monitor such as a visor monitor or overhead monitor. Option
2 consists of option 1, and also adds the special cables to allow you
to plug in your i-phone, ipad, ipod so you can send audio/video to your
DVD players/monitors. Imagine the possibilities this opens up today
since many people have the ability to watch pay-for-service movies
and/or DVR movies, and/or live TV through services such as NetFlix,
BlockBuster Home Video, Dish Sling, DirectTV Anywhere, and many cable
companies, remote viewing apps, YouTube, etc. Basically, if you can
watch video on your iphone, your passengers can watch it through the
headrests. This cable also allows charging of your phone as well.
Sorry, this does not work with iphone 5, or with other phone systems

Mon, 03 Mar 2014Apple CarPlay arrives to take over your car’s Infotainment Apple’s bid to take a major slice of the Automotive integration with Smartphones market moves on with the arrival of Apple CarPlay at the Geneva Motor Show this week It looks like Apple have stolen a march on Android with deep integration in to the Infotainment systems of a number of car makers – with more to come – as the lines start to be blurred between Smartphones and car systems. CarPlay lets drivers with the right phone – iPhone 5 or better – access messages, play music, use Apple Maps and make calls, all hands-free and using Siri commands. Functionality with the right make of car – starting with Ferrari, Mercedes and Volvo but reaching out in to Jaguar Land Rover, BMW, Hyundai Kia, Honda, PSA, Toyota, Ford and more before long – means you’ll be able to do much of what you can already do on your iPhone but do it through your car’s Infotainment interface with familiar commands and screen layouts.
