The YakBitz Yakker sends the NMEA 0183 data from your Fish Finder/GPS/Chart Plotter/AIS Receiver etc to your Wifi enabled Phone/Tablet/PC.

This enables navigation software like Navionics, OpenCPN etc to use your depth and location data.

Very simple to connect and set up. Just connect 3 wires as shown below:

GND ------------ GND

Tx (Data Out) ---- Rx

Once powered up the YAKKER creates a WiFi hotspot. Connect to this with your Wifi Phone/Tablet etc using the default password of 12345678.

Next start your browser and enter 192.168.4.1 into the address bar to get the setup screen shown above. Now you can set the baud rate(speed) to match your equipment setting.

And lots of that product is being sneaked in to keep prying eyes away before the official reveal happens later today or later this week. But Porsche has filmed their promised ‘Something Spectacular’ as it arrives in Detroit to be readied for the eyes of the world to fall upon it.

A swoopy, four-door coupe it’s yet another of Audi’s attempts at niche-filling, and is aimed straight at rivals such as the CLS from Mercedes.
