Dougie Lampkin takes on the Goodwood Estate It may still be four months away, but the pace of the PR for the Goodwood Festival of Speed has been turned up a notch this week.  We did a piece on the Goodwood Moving Motor Show which will precede the Festival of Speed this last weekend, but it makes sense to bring you up to date with what we currently know will be happening at the FoS. Gordon Murray’s MOTIV.e debuts in Tokyo

Gordon Murray, the famous McLaren Formula One and McLaren F1 road car designer, and bike-builder Yamaha unveiled the MOTIV.e at the Tokyo Motor Show. The MOTIV is a hot take on a city car in the vein of the Smart ForTwo and Aston Martin Cygnet. Multiple versions of the MOTIV could be produced, with both electric and gas power.

Sinkhole Corvettes to be displayed before restoration

It's going to take a while to get the eight historic Chevrolet Corvettes that were consumed by a sinkhole at the National Corvette Museum two weeks ago out of that sinkhole -- just getting a specialized crane through the doors of the museum will take time. Afterward, though, the public will be able to get a look at them in their damaged state before Chevrolet has them restored. The museum has told the Detroit Free Press that the damaged cars will be on display at the National Corvette Museum from April through June of this year, once they're exhumed.
