DESCRIPTION: Used Working Overdrive Solenoid, Made by Robert Bosch Corporation. Bosch Parts Number AR10H-62. It is a 12 volt solenoid. There was information concerning overdrive solenoids in Hemming's in September 2010 and the list showed this parts number is used for the vehicles listed below. The solenoid jumps like it is supposed when tested with a 12 volt battery. Hook battery ground cable to mounting flange and touch one terminal with the positive cable. The shaft is 1 inch long measured from the mounting flange ring and has a flat spot on two sides. There are two terminal screws in the body. I have a Delco 1119772 solenoid that was use on Chevy 1955 and early 1956 and this Bosch solenoid looks the same as the Delco.

Richard Petty Driving Experience says you can skip the clutch pedal

Tue, 30 Aug 2011

With manual transmissions being phased out of everything from Fords to Ferraris, it's no surprise that beginning on Thursday, the Richard Petty Driving Experience will no longer require the use of a clutch pedal to learn how to drive a stock car. With the company's "Can't Drive a Manual? No Problem" campaign, the driving school will allow students to get behind the wheel of a stocker and be push-started so no shifting will be required.

Councils urged to shun yellow lines

Mon, 07 Oct 2013

COUNCILS are being asked to cut unsightly yellow lines as part of a Government drive to rid the streets of clutter. Local Transport Minister Norman Baker has urged local authorities to think about using restricted parking zones, instead of automatically opting to use yellow lines to control parking, particularly in single streets and environmentally-sensitive areas in towns and cities. Restricted parking zones require a limited number of signs which tell motorists if they can or can not park and during which times and are considered less intrusive than conventional yellow lines.

VW Scirocco & VW Passat CC get BlueMotion Technology

Tue, 23 Nov 2010

The VW Passat CC BlueMotion Technology - with added economy Volkswagen is busy rolling out its BlueMotion Technology models (as opposed to the ultimate eco version in the range, which is simply ‘BlueMotion’) across its range, yielding some pretty impressive CO2 and fuel savings in the process. Now it’s the turn of the VW Scirocco and VW Passat CC to get the BlueMotion Technology tweaking and fettling to yield the right numbers to keep the taxman at bay. And, just as they have with other VW BlueTechnology models, VW has managed to tease and cajole some pretty impressive numbers from both the Scirocco and Passat CC.
