Ford Euro tuning partner Mountune sets up shop in US

U.K.-based Ford tuner Mountune is opening up a satellite location in California. The company is not well known on this side of the Atlantic, but across the pond it enjoys the status of being Ford's official European tuning partner. Mountune will be offering high-performance racing components for a number of Ford vehicles in the states, and we're excited to see what they'll be able to do with the rabid Ford Focus ST and Fiesta ST models.

Future products: U.S. model is VW's big news

An ambitious plan to increase Volkswagen brand sales in the United States to 800,000 by 2018--up from 213,454 last year--begins with a mid-sized sedan to be built starting early next year in Chattanooga, Tenn. AC Schnitzer upgrades the Mini Cooper coupe

The Mini Cooper coupe is still fresh--it hasn't been out for more than a year. Now, German tuner AC Schnitzer has taken it into the shop for some upgrades. The company is working on performance upgrades for both the diesel- and gasoline-powered cars, starting with a front limited-slip differential.
