Production 2014 Acura RLX to debut at LA Auto Show

It was springtime in New York and Acura was unveiling the “concept” version of their new RLX flagship (see photos above). Now, with spring behind us and summer celebrated, we head into the autumn show season with news that Honda's lux arm has confirmed that the production RLX is to debut at the L.A. auto show in late November.

2014 Chrysler 200 gets a short run

Chrysler Group will cut short the Chrysler 200 sedan's 2014 model year to launch a redesigned version in January. Internal Chrysler documents indicate that the 2014 Chrysler 200 will start production in July at Chrysler's Sterling Heights plant in suburban Detroit and end in the second week of January. Normally, production of the 2014 model would run well into 2014.

President Barack Obama's second term likely will include a return to an agenda of support for electric vehicles and also could clear the way for new rules on tailpipe emissions and auto safety that his appointees have been eager to release. Obama's fellow Democrats retained control of the Senate, while Republicans kept their House majority In his victory speech, Obama said he plans to meet with Republican challenger Mitt Romney in coming weeks to discuss ways to move the country forward. He also saluted Romney's father, George, who once ran American Motors, a company absorbed by Chrysler in 1987 and whose Jeep became a flashpoint during the campaign.
