FOR CUSTOM TORSION HOUSINGS This kit uses a 3/4 heim joint to allow your trailing arm to freely pivot up and down. We offer these spring plate conversion kits for both a stock VW style torsion housing or "custom" torsion housing. A stock VW style torsion housing is wider than a custom torsion housing and requires a bend in the plate leading back to the trailing arm so the plate will line up correctly with the trailing arm. Hardware and heim joints are not included with this set. Two 3/4-16 bolts that are 2 inches long are required to mount the heim joints on to the torsion plates. Ten 1/2-20 bolts that are 1 1/4 inches long are required to mount the spring plate to the trailing arm. Eight 3/8-24 bolts that are 2 1/4 inches long are required to mount the torsion cover plate to the torsion housing. Wed, 15 Apr 2009Brawn GP wins the verdict at the FIA hearing on the F1 diffuser row [ad#ad-1] Well, Ross Brawn said from the start that the rear diffuser on the Brawn GP car was legal. The man knows his stuff, and has the ability to interpret the regulations to suit his cause, and the FIA has today ruled that he’s right. So Brawn and Jenson Button’s wins stand, the cars are legal (as are those of Williams and Toyota) and the rest of the F1 teams are going to have to play catch-up very quickly if they’re going to have a chance this year.

They got 1,000 video applications to enter the People’s Reviewer competition; the reviews the competitors did have had 165k views and 12,500 people have actually voted (that’s 12,400 family and friends of the competitors plus the 100 or so of you who jumped over to have a say!).
Art Center Car Classic features the world's great automobiles
Tue, 29 Oct 2013It seems like we say this every year, but this year it's truly fitting: this was the best Art Center Car Classic ever. Consider that the show covered both ends of the Corvette spectrum, from Peter Brock and the rise of the original “Mitchell Corvette” -- which was right there parked on the grass -- to General Motors designer Pete Thomas and the new C7 parked not far away, with the Mako Shark and the '63 split-window Sting Ray lined up between. A couple car lengths from that was the debut of the finally finished Peter Mullin Bugatti Type 64, a spectacular re-imagining of Jean Bugatti's unfinished final car done by Art Center students and Transportation Design chair Stewart Reed.
