The manufacturer has sought to retain characteristics from the larger Volvo models but refine it with sharper features in a more compact form, while focusing on a number of key areas within the car. It's closest equivalent – in terms of format – is the Audi A3 Sportback thanks to its mix of hatchback and wagon characteristics.

Fri, 15 Aug 2014The Ferrari 250 GTO #3851 GT makes ‘just’ $38 million Last month, we reported that a Ferrari 250 GTO was due to hit the auction room at Bonhams Quail Lodge sale and was expected to hit a massive record price, with estimates ranging from $60-100 million. On that basis, the sale was a complete failure. In fact, the 250 GTO – previously owned by Fabrizio Violati – managed to reach a relatively paltry $38.1 million (£22.8 million), with the actual price (before buyers premium) ‘just’ $34.6 million (£20.7 million).

Sun, 23 Jan 2011Top Gear Skoda Yeti Helipad We thought that Top Gear had kicked in to the start of a new series – Series 16 AB (that’s ‘After Boring’ Top Gear) – when we had the Three Wise Men Christmas Special and the preceding Top Gear East Coast USA Road Trip. But it was a trick; nothing more than an hors d’œuvre for the new series. But Top Gear series 16 does start tonight – 8pm BBC2 (GMT).
