The new 2013 Subaru Forester, which debuted at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November, will cost from £24,995 in the UK for the Forester 2.0D X. Those improvements for 2013 include new bumpers and a bigger crease down the side, some new alloys and more toys, like a new Infotainment centre and a SatNav with reversing camera. But the big news is that the new Forester gets a new engine option too, a new 2.0 litre turbo petrol good for 240PS which should make the Foresters ‘last forever’ appeal more enticing when you can have fun forever too.

We’ve got to say, the news that the Porsche Panamera Hybrid (strictly speaking, the Porsche Panamera S Hybrid) is going to debut at the Geneva Motor Show in a couple of weeks time isn’t exactly a shock. After all, Porsche has made no secret of its plans to stick Hybrid gubbins in the Panamera; CO2 targets, and all that guff. But Porsche seems to think it is a surprise (unless they really have a surprise and are planning on revealing another Porsche hybrid altogether much sooner than we expected) as the press release we got in from Porsche has the enigmatic little tease of a headline – ‘Porsche: Hybrid world premiere’.

De Tomaso to get €100 million from India
De Tomaso hasn’t had the most solvent history in the motoring world, and had been dormant until ex-Fiat man Gian Mario Rossignolo rescued the name – and some of the assets – from the liquidators. And he had big plans. The first of those plans was the underwhelming De Tomaso Deauville, a car which borrowed its name from a previous XJ-like saloon car from De Tomaso, but looked like the bastard child of a Porsche Cayenne and a 5-Series GT.
