The second phase of the CDN-Opel/Vauxhall competition is specifically for the seven shortlisted students from the first phase. Although billed as a 'show car', Chevrolet is adamant the production version will differ only in minor details. It's light, it's highly visible, it's relatively cheap to run on a daily basis and it's wickedly fast. Ariel Motors has teamed up with the Somerset Constabulary in the south of England to equip an Atom 3.5R, which features a 2.0-liter 350-hp engine from the Honda Civic Type R, with the necessary police gear.
