This was with a Stude inventory;  may have other applications.   Some rough measurements are:  Thickness of wire, about 0.080;  width of wire, about 0.187;  max. length, about 1 3/4 ;  hole inside coil, about 5/8 inch;  if you set the spring on the foot, vertical, the max. height is about 1 1/2 ;  all measurements in inches.  

AC Schnitzer upgrades BMW M6 line

AC Schnitzer has a new performance package for the BMW M6 coupe, convertible and Gran Coupe. In addition to engine upgrades, the tuning company adds suspension pieces, bodywork, interior bits and a choice of 20- or 21-inch wheels. Output is up from 560 hp to 620 hp, while torque grows to 582 lb-ft.

Mazda appoints Brit Kevin Rice as new European design chief

Rice joins at a key time for Mazda, which is replacing its model range at a rate of knots. It will show the new 2 supermini at the Paris motor show in October 2014, following the 3 mid-sized hatch and 6 family car which are both less than two years old.

Citroën Creative Award winners announced

The 2012 Citroën Creative Awards presentation ceremony was held last week, with ten prize winners receiving awards for their submissions in a global competition. The contest, which attracted over 800 entries from 87 different countries, was organized into three main categories, in which both experienced and amateur designers were encouraged to take part in. Wouter Van Vugt, a Dutch graphic designer, for his entry ‘Junior Driver', won the ‘Ideas Contest', which focused on the traveling comfort of future Citroën cars.
