You are bidding on a complete set of slightly used Tien Street Flex Coilovers with an Electronic Dampening Force Controller & Stepper Motors. This kits will fit a 3rd Generation Acura TL (2004-2008) with a UA6 chassis. This listing includes the following items:

  • Tien GSA80-5USS3 Street Flex Coilover Kit [Tien List Price = $1350]
  • Tien EDFC II Controller & Wiring [Tien List Price = $151]
  • Tien EDFC II Compatible Stepper Motors EDK05-10120 [Tien List Price = $165]
  • Tien spanner wrench for height adjustment

If I can find it, I will also include a motor extension kit (EDK08-P8514-12) which will allow the stepper motors to be installed with an aftermarket strut tower brace.

The coilovers were installed on my car for less than 10k miles. The spring rate was too soft for me, so I decided to swap to an ISC Coilover with the Track/Race stiffness. Honestly, most people would hate the ISC setup I have because it is a very harsh ride. The harsh ride works for me, but I think most people would prefer the soft, Cadillac-like suspension that this Tien kit gives. I never got around to installing the EDFC controller or the stepper motors before I changed suspension setups.

The EDFC II controller allows for in car adjustment of ride stiffness thru the stepper motors connected to the top of each damper. Click here for more detail on the EDFC II controller & stepper motors.

The Street Flex Coilover kit allows for a maximum drop of 2.7 inches in the front and 5.2 inches in the rear. This kits offers a dampening force of 672 lb/in for the front and 336 lb/in for the rear. Click here for a list of Street Flex applications. Click here for more detail on the Street Force Dampers.

Feel free to message me with any questions you might have. I can also take additional pictures if you would like.

10% of the final sale price will be donated to a local Ohio charity to save race horses. Who doesn't love some horse power?!

I will be posting more parts for 2nd Generation Acura TLs, 3rd Generation Acura TLs, 6th Generation VW GTIs, & 3rd Generation Chevy C10s as I clean out my garage and shop. Message me if you are looking for parts for any of those vehicles.

Citroen DS3 and DS3 Cabrio ‘Facelift’ revealed

Thu, 22 May 2014

Citroen DS3 and DS3 Cabrio ‘Facelift’ revealed The baby of the DS range – the Citroen DS3 – is still one of our favourite hatches, and although it’s been with us a few years it still feels current. Which perhaps explains why Citroen’s facelift of the DS3 really amounts to not much more than some new posh headlights and some technology and engine updates. The headline news is the new lighting on the DS3 (although only the DSport gets it as standard) with xenon units with an LED lighting element which, say Citroen, use 35 pe3r cent less power on dipped beam and 75 per cent less on main beam, have a 20,000 hour life (20 times that of a standard halogen bulb) and are derived from the lights on the Numero 9 and Wild Rubis Concepts.
