Heavy-tension release spring for the Torqueflite 727 low-reverse servo, 1962 through 1988, using the 2.81" O.D. piston. Often required for trans brake applications and used in street applications to gain quicker release of the low-reverse servo and band during manual 1-2 shifts. Tension specs: 42# @ installed height, 62# @ 2” compressed height, 81# @ 1-3/4” compressed height; actual compressed height dimension/tension spec dependent upon band adjustment setting. Wire diameter is .188” compared to factory OEM spring wire diameter of .148”. For comparison Chrysler factory OEM release spring tension specs are: 15# @ installed height, 23# @ 2” compressed height, 30# @ 1-3/4” compressed height. Fall in drug-driving admissions
Fri, 07 Feb 2014THE NUMBER of motorists admitting to drug-driving is falling, according to Government figures. Just 0.5% of motorists said they had driven under the influence of drugs during the 2012/13 financial year compared with 1% who owned up to this offence during 2011/12. Based on a survey by the Office for National Statistics, the figures also showed that 6.4% of motorists had admitted drink-driving at least once in 2012/13 compared with 7.4% in 2011/12.

The news comes as little surprise after months of uncertainty and change at the top of VW. Bernhard built a reputation as an abrasive operator in his short stint as CEO of the Wolfsburg company and had numerous confrontations with unions as he pushed through more modern working practices.
