Wrap Details:

This listing is for two (2) brand new rolls of PREMIUM 1/16" x 2" x 50ft of BLACK header wrap. This is a first quality black wrap manufactured from high grade 100% fiberglass to withstand continuous high temperatures up to 1000 degrees Fahrenheit.

The uses for this wrap are numerous. It's most popular use is to insulate header pipes and other engine components in the auto and motorcycle racing market. This wrap can reduce under-hood temperatures 50%-70%. It will also protect other under-hood components as well as the crew or mechanic who may have to work on a hot engine. This wrap is also used in karting to protect the driver's right arm from burns due to the header pipe.

This wrap is a 2" wide so you get much more coverage with less footage as compared to narrower wraps on the market.

Installation:

Our wrap has a premium weave and is very easy to install. Fully clean and de-grease your pipes and let dry completely before installation. When installing, generally 1/4" overlap is recommended. Most people like to start at the head and work their way not the pipe. Secure at both ends and along the length as needed.

This wrap should only be installed if your engine is free from leaks of oil or any other fluids. Fiberglass can retain fluids, although the wrap rated as noncombustible. The fluids in it can and may burn. Buyer, user,  and installer assume all responsibility for keeping wrap clean and free from fluids and other contaminates.  Seller is free of responsibility for buyer, user, or installer negligence.

This wrap can only be used as a heat trace insulator if the pipes free from leaks.

Generally it takes 100ft at 2" width to wrap a set of V8 headers. A 2" x 50ft roll can wrap most any small engine header such as karts, mini bikes, or some mini choppers and pocket bikes.

What the 2015 Corvette ZR1 could look like

Wed, 20 Feb 2013

Buyers are lining up to put the new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette in their garages, but we're already looking ahead to the hopped-up versions Chevrolet is likely to unveil down the road. There will be a new Z06, of course, but we're talking about the Stingray version of the beastly, supercharged Corvette ZR1. Thanks to a pair of renderings, we can imagine what the new ZR1, which will likely be a 2015 or 2016 model year vehicle, might look like.

Toyota's Lentz to say electronics not to blame for acceleration problems

Tue, 23 Feb 2010

Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. President James Lentz plans to stick to his guns and tell skeptical lawmakers Tuesday that the company's unwanted acceleration problems do not stem from electronic defects, a copy of his testimony shows. Lentz's reiteration of Toyota's longstanding position suggests that top company executives were unmoved by sharp criticism of that stance Monday by House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Henry Waxman.

Bentley future design competition held at Hongik University, South Korea

Wed, 03 Sep 2014

Bentley has held its first design competition in collaboration with a university outside the UK. Director of design, Luc Donckerwolke, and head of exterior and advanced design, Sangyup Lee, tasked students at Hongik University in Seoul with designing a Bentley that would be released in 2040. In addition to looking to the future, students were asked to take the Bentley 'Blue Train' as inspiration: the car driven by three-time Le Mans-winner, Woolf Barnato, who, in March 1930, bet £100 that he could drive his Bentley from Cannes in the south of France to The Conservative Club in London in the time it took the luxurious Blue Train to travel from Cannes to Calais on the English Channel.
