We've sold over 300 vintage tailgates that our customers have used for rat rods and repurposed into benches, tables, fences or signs.   We generally have several different makes and models, so be sure to view our other auctions and check back often…you never know what Pete will find.

There is a reason they are so popular…the size makes them the perfect bench back or wall hanger and the strength of the old iron, chippy paint and the patina of the oxidized metal make them one-of-a-kind works of art...terrific for a vintage grunge industrial look.

This tailgate came off an old 40’s Chevy and has an enviable "grunge" finish with just the right amount of the original red and oxidized metal. (Use the zoom feature for an accurate visual description)  Fortunately, we're from dry old Kansas and the metal is still sound...just small character "dimples". 50 5/8" x 15 1/2".

Thu, 25 Jun 2009

The BMW 1 Series Lifestyle - available as a 118d or a 120i First up is the BMW 1 Series Lifestyle, which gets a Marakesh Brown paint job (BMW’s favourite colour it would seem at the moment – the new BMW X1 cars are all showing up in that colour), interior components in matching colour, chrome tipped exhaust and 17″ alloys. The second limited edition is the BMW 1 Series Sport, which gets an M-Sports package (including sports suspension, steering wheel and gearlever), unique double-spoke alloys and stainless steel pedals. Both the 1 Series Limited Editions will be available in either 3 or 5 door versions, and you can have either the 2.0 litre petrol – 170bhp and 0-60mph in 7.8 seconds – or the 2.0 litre diesel – 143bhp and 0-60mph in 9 seconds.

Fiat 500 by Diesel – now it’s the convertible 500C by Diesel

Sat, 10 Apr 2010

The Fiat 500C by Diesel Fiat has been trying hard to churn out as many limited edition versions of the 500 as MINI have managed on their own re-created motoring icon. That’s probably an impossible target (we reckoned that MINI managed a new model a month last year) but that’s not going to stop Fiat having a good old bash at milking the ‘Limited Edition’ market. One of the earliest limited edition specials from the Fiat 500 was the ‘Style’ makeover from designers Diesel.

One Lap of the Web: New Zonda, Euro-spec Porsches and a Gordini R17

-- The Pagani Zonda just refuses to die. World Car Fans is reporting the company is working on the Zonda X, based on the 760LM version. Like the 760LM, power is expected to come from a 7.3-liter AMG V12, and some sort of sequential gearbox.
