YOU ARE VIEWING A 1956 CHRYSLER CHROME HOOD ORNAMENT IN GOOD USED CONDITION. This is in really good shape for its age and very hard to come by. The 1956 Chrysler hood 'bird' is a very heavy chromed ornament. It does have a few light pits nothing bad along with a few scratches. Hard to see in the pictures so look close. Best one we've had in a very long time. It's Old not New but if you got to have it it's great!! Remember its 58 years old. HARD TO FIND. PLEASE EMAIL ANY QUESTIONS!! . Bugatti Atalante sells for £3 Million
Mon, 09 Feb 2009Back at the turn of the new year, we brought you news of a Bugatti Type 57S Atalante that had been found in a barn in the North East, after the death of its owner, a Dr Harold Carr. We speculated on its price, for which estimates varied hugely, with some reports suggesting that a price up near £7 million was likely. We plumped for £3,000,000 and, probably more by luck than judgement, we were bang on the nail!
Steve McQueen’s Ferrari 275 GTB4 restored by Ferrari Classiche
Mon, 11 Jun 2012Ferrari Classiche has taken Steve McQueen’s Ferrari 275 GTB4 and put it back to original Coupe form with and-beaten steel panels. We all know that classic Ferraris are one of the better investments you can make, certainly in the long term. Just look at the recent sale of a Ferrari 250 GTO for $35 million (new price in the early 1960s was £6k) for evidence of the enormous prices classic Ferraris fetch, certainly the pre-Fiat Ferraris where production numbers were small.
Local Motors 'Design Our Car' competition opens
Thu, 09 Feb 2012Local Motors has opened its first-ever ‘Design Our Car' competition, which encourages collaboration within the manufacturing community. The open-source automaker is providing two of its Rally Fighter cars, one of which will be built at the company's micro-factory in Arizona while the other will be built live in the Emerging Technology Center at September's International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) in Chicago. Ideas from the design and engineering community are being sought to help design and select a skin for the Rally Fighter that will be built by the Local Motors team this spring.
