We've sold over 300 vintage tailgates that customers use in restorations and repurpose into benches, tables, fences or signs. We generally have several different makes and models, so be sure to view our other auctions and check back often…you never know what Pete will find. There is a reason they are so popular…the size makes them the perfect bench back and the old worn paint and random dents and dings give them unique character; the patina of the oxidized metal can only be produced by time and the elements. This tailgate came off an old Chevy fleetside and I think will fit 1958 - 1966, but check your measurements. The finish is unique...a beautiful blue with engraved white lettering. (use the zoom tool for an accurate visual description.) The metal is structurally sound with no pitting...great patina! There are a few dents, primarily at the top of the "V". 66 x 21". |
