This is a complete, NOS vintage Mallory distributor two piece cap assembly, Mallory # 4002. This NOS distributor cap fits vintage YC and ZC Mallory 6 cylinder distributors and has never been installed. The brown bakolite cap has "M. Mallory" raised in the top and the Mallory "M" raised on the underside of the top and the Mallory part # 24008. The seal has the Mallory "M" and "V-24009" raised in the underside of the rubber. The cap base has the Mallory "M" and the Mallory part # 24007" raised in the underside and includes the center spring loaded carbon. This cap is in the original Mallory box bottom but the box top is missing. Perfect for replacing a missing, damaged or worn 6 cylinder cap with an NOS Mallory original. Volkswagen 'will build the XL1' - Piech
Thu, 27 Jan 2011Volkswagen will build the radical 313mpg XL1 eco cigar in 2013, Ferdinand Piech revealed at the Qatar motor show. In an interview with Automotive News, the VW chairman said: 'We want to go into series production with this car starting in 2013.' He insisted it would go on sale to real people, not just as media demonstrators. And VW chief exec Martin Winterkorn added the XL1 would be sold in Europe first, then be rolled into the US and Chinese car markets.
