Up for bid is a Vintage Three Speed Ball Gear Shift Knob. Tan in color. Not sure what it came off of. Looks like a 3/8ths thread. Well used, with wear and scratches. 2 inches around. Given the fast-paced improvement in the quality of premium Asian air travel – Emirates and Cathay Pacific are two examples – Singapore Airlines has decided to revamp its First Class area while upgrading its in-flight entertainment system. The chief redesign will be limited to its First and Business Class sections as those are the main sources of revenue but economy passengers will see upgraded headrests and seating.

It’s also allowed Porsche to take the Audi Q5 and turn it in to what appears to be a hugely capable and appealing baby Cayenne in the guise of the new Porsche Macan, but it seems Porsche is planning another SUV step with a model that really does seem a step too far – a Porsche 911 SUV. Auto Bild’s Motor Revue is reporting that a Porsche 911 Safarai is heading for the Beijing Motor Show in April 2014 sporting bigger wheels and tyres and a raised suspension to deliver a 911 Crossover.

Sat, 20 Oct 2012The latest version of Hyundai’s i30 Estate – the Hyundai i30 Tourer – has gained a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating – the same as the i30 hatch. Hyundai has placed plenty of emphasis on the safety stuff in their cars too, with the i30, i20, ix35, ix20, i40, Veloster and latest i30 all getting a five star Euro NCAP rating. And now the new i30 Tourer has joined the gang with its very own top rank safety rating.
