Citroen DS3 and DS3 Cabrio ‘Facelift’ revealed

Thu, 22 May 2014

Citroen DS3 and DS3 Cabrio ‘Facelift’ revealed The baby of the DS range – the Citroen DS3 – is still one of our favourite hatches, and although it’s been with us a few years it still feels current. Which perhaps explains why Citroen’s facelift of the DS3 really amounts to not much more than some new posh headlights and some technology and engine updates. The headline news is the new lighting on the DS3 (although only the DSport gets it as standard) with xenon units with an LED lighting element which, say Citroen, use 35 pe3r cent less power on dipped beam and 75 per cent less on main beam, have a 20,000 hour life (20 times that of a standard halogen bulb) and are derived from the lights on the Numero 9 and Wild Rubis Concepts.

Porsche 911 RS models through the ages – on video

Fri, 26 Mar 2010

By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 26 March 2010 06:35 Porsche GB has issued a rather cool video detailing the history of the 911 RS models – filmed in situ at the new Porsche Experience Centre in Silverstone.Unlike most corporate videos, this one is remarkably free of commercial sells – although we should remember its presenter will be a tad biased! But we're posting it here because we reckon it's a great video guide to the most hardcore of 911s, tracing the history of the lightweight Renn Sport specials all the way back from the 1973 original up to the present day.>> Rip-off or rip-rorting? Range Rover Hybrid completes Silk Trail Expedition to India (video)

Tue, 15 Oct 2013

Range Rover Hybrid completes Silk Trail Expedition to India Land Rover has been busy for the last 53 days taking a trio of Range Rover Hybrids down the Silk Trail from Land Rover’s home in the Midlands to Tata’s home in India. In the process, the three Range Rover Hybrids, and their Land Rover support vehicles, have covered 10,472 miles in 53 days covering every terrain imaginable – and averaged 36mpg in the process. The whole point of the outing was to give the hybrid Range Rover a proper workout ahead of its customer launch, and the trek to India certainly provided that with everything from sea level to 5500 metres and temperatures from -10 to 43C along the way, not to mention the vast array of terrain from tarmac to non-existent byways.
