New Land Rover Discovery gets ‘see through’ bonnet. No, it’s not an April fool (video)

Wed, 09 Apr 2014

The ‘See Through’ bonnet on the new Land Rover discovery The idea that the new Land Rover Discovery family – which we’ll get a first look at in New York this month – will come with a see-through bonnet does seem like it’s a story we should have run on 1st April. But it’s not. In fact, the Transparent Bonnet virtual imaging Concept is an augmented reality view of what’s ahead when you’re off-road, so you have full visibility of what’s ahead and below the car.

Infiniti Q50 Executive – it’s for business users

Wed, 23 Oct 2013

Infiniti Q5 Executive – it’s for business users The new Infiniti Q50 (replacement for the old G37) was revealed at the Detroit Auto Show in January, prices for the Q50 were revealed in June (starts at £27,950) and comes in three trim levels – SE, Premium and Sport – but it seems there will be an additional trim option – the Infiniti Q50 Executive. With an eye to business sales in Europe, Infiniti has decided there needs to be a trim level aimed at business buyers (or those who do big miles), so they’re offering an Executive trim level for the 2.2 diesel version. As well as the normal equipment levels on the Q50 (which are pretty decent anyway) the Executive option gets, according to Infiniti, “One of the most advanced satellite navigation systems” plus some decent finance packages.

Ford ECOnetic Vans launched

The Ford Transit ECOnetic brings green option for White Van Man. [ad#ad-1] The whole ‘Green’ thing is now finding its way in to mainstream commercial vehicles (which is a very good place for it to be), and that move is now given huge impetus by Ford, with their announcement today that they are launching ECOnetic versions of both the Transit and the Fiesta Van. We wrote about the Fiesta Van a while ago when Ford announced the Fiesta SportVan, and said then what a great little van it was.
