Wed, 19 Aug 2009

By Ben Pulman Competitions 19 August 2009 09:00 CAR Online has teamed up with Mobil 1 to offer you the chance to win a limited-edition print of Lewis Hamilton, based on a portrait of the F1 driver which used the oil from his own race car. Click here to enter our competition Earlier this year US artist David Macaluso painted a portrait of Lewis Hamilton using the oil from the sump of the current F1 champ’s title-winning grand prix car. And now CAR is giving away one of 50 limited-run prints being produced.

McLaren DOESN’T stop production of the MP4-12C to fix problems.

Sat, 08 Oct 2011

McLaren MP4-12C problems haven't stopped production The McLaren MP4-12C is McLaren’s first road car in almost twenty years, and it appears that the new 458 competitor from Woking has a few problems. Reports have been cropping up for some weeks that MP4-12C owners have been plagued (well, plagued is harsh) by a raft of problems including a battery drainage issue (something many cars suffer from early on), headlight condensation and glitchy door operation. McLaren are adamant none of the issues affecting the 12C are safety related and it is therefore continuing to build the cars, so although there will be a delay for some new owners in delivery, the issues should cause no long term back log in deliveries.

Subaru BRZ tease & new Subaru Hybrid concept at Tokyo

Subaru BRZ teased ahead of Tokyo We’ve seen speculation on the Subaru BRZ – Subaru’s version of the Toyota FT-86 – increase hugely as the arrival of the production version of the BRZ approaches at the Tokyo Motor Show in just a few weeks. The general consensus is that the BRZ will get something around 295bhp – after a Subaru spokesman said the BRZ will have ‘less than 300bhp’ – but we really have no idea how much more powerful the BRZ will be than the FT-86. So when we got an email in this morning with a teaser image for the production-ready BRZ, we thought maybe Subaru has decided to put us out of our misery.
