Part Fitment

You, "the buyer", are responsible for doing all the research prior to buying this part. If you are not sure that it will fit your vehicle, please take the time to do the research prior to buying the item. I will try to answer fitment questions to the best of my knowledge and resources.

Used Parts

The dictionary defines the word "used" as follows: "Not New, Previously Owned". With that being said, this is a "used" part. I will always do my best to make sure the parts that I sell are in good usable condition. I test vehicles before I tear them down. I also inspect each part before taking pictures. I have no interest in selling you a part that you can't use, but you have to keep in mind this is a used part and may need to be cleaned or serviced in some way prior to re-installation. I also sell new parts but they are much more expensive.

Bearings, Bushings, Gaskets, Seals, Clutch Plates, Sprockets, Pistons, Rings, and Brake Pads are all considered "wear parts" and cannot be guaranteed unless specifically stated in the description that they are good.

PLEASE LOOK AT EVERY PICTURE CLOSELY!

Engine/Motor & Carburetor Parts

** All engine parts have been drained of oil and fluids. However, there may be residual fluid in, on, or around the part(s). YOU or YOUR MECHANIC are solely responsible for making sure the part(s) are properly  cleaned, lubricated, and installed by a professional mechanic. We highly suggest using new gaskets and seals for engine reassembly as well as following the “Factory/OEM Service Manual” guidelines for proper assembly procedures and torque values for all fasteners. This and all engine parts that we sell are deemed usable by Factory/OEM standards and have come off a good running engine (UNLESS NOTED IN THE DESCRIPTION OF THE LISTING).

** All Carburetor/Intake parts have been drained of fuel. Sometimes these parts sit on a shelf for several weeks/months prior to selling them. YOU or YOUR MECHANIC are solely responsible for making sure the part(s) are properly cleaned, lubricated, and installed by a professional mechanic. We highly suggest servicing carburetors and throttle bodies following the “Factory/OEM Service Manual” guidelines for proper assembly procedures and torque values for all fasteners. This and all carburetor/intake parts that we sell are deemed usable by Factory/OEM standards and have come off a good running engine (UNLESS NOTED IN THE DESCRIPTION OF THE LISTING).

ATTENTION: FAILURE TO FOLLOW THE ABOVE PROCEDURES AND GUIDELINES MAY RESULT IN CATOSTROPHIC ENGINE FAILURE – AND/OR PREMATURE ENGINE WEAR. Therefore, Benny’s Powerports LLC and its employees will not be held responsible for any and all failures associated with the use of these engine parts.

Kia turn to consumer reviews to drive the brand

Wed, 09 Jan 2013

Kia is launching a brand awareness campaign in the UK with the main focus being on over 3000 consumer reviews on the Kia website. It looks like Korean twins Hyundai and Kia are both going to be concentrating on building the value of their brand in 2013. Yesterday we learnt that Hyundai are to focus on brand building in 2013 rather than chasing big sales increases, and today Kia has revealed it is following a similar path with a new marketing campaign built round consumer reviews of Kia cars.

2014 Ford Mondeo testing autonomous driving technologies (video)

Fri, 13 Dec 2013

The Ford Fusion with its LIDAR ears allowing autonomous driving Car makers are starting to take self-driving, autonomous cars very seriously, and we’ve recently seen Mercedes testing their autonomous driving S-Class in Berlin, Volvo planning a big trial of 100 self-driving cars in Gothenberg and Tesla planning systems that will do 90 per cent of your driving within 3 years. Now it’s Ford’s turn. Ford has equipped a Fusion Hybrid (that’s the North American version of the new Ford Mondeo we still haven’t got in the UK) with its autonomous vehicle technology to conduct research in partnership with the University of Michigan and State Farm (a big group of insurance companies in the US). The test Fusion gets a system called LIDAR (light detection and range – the funny looking ears on the top of the Fusion in the picture above) which can scan the road ahead up to 2.5 million times a second and create a 3D map of the surroundings.

Jaguar F-Type: Fearless

Fri, 06 Jul 2012

Jaguar is continuing its PR assault for the new F-Type with a video setting out just how special the new Jaguar F-Type will be. If there’s one thing that separates ’New Jaguar’ from ‘Old Jaguar’ it’s their willingness to embrace every opportunity to positively promote their cars at every possible turn and in every possible way. The launch of the new XJ properly started the new style of PR offensives when Jaguar managed to release what seemed like a thousand teasers for their new big Cat before we’d even seen it in the flesh, and that was a full year before the first new XJs even hit Jaguar showrooms.
