The CCA-748-600 cable connects your iPod to selected Clarion receivers. Once connected, you'll be able to listen to your iPod music files while driving, view your iPod video files when you're parked, and keep your iPod fully charged.

The cable also enables your Clarion receiver to provide touchscreen control over your iPod's music playback, while the receiver displays the title, genre, and artist information stored on your iPod. You'll continue to access video functions from your iPod's controls.

Overview: You can transfer audio and video from an iPod video (5th generation), iPod nano (3rd/4th generation), iPod classic (80/120/160GB), or iPod touch (1st/2nd generation) to your Clarion in-dash DVD multimedia head unit using the connector cable. Control of your iPod is transferred over the cable's USB connection, while audio and video are transferred over a composite video and stereo RCA connection. Video can only be displayed while the vehicle is in park (the unit will display "Audio Only" when your vehicle is in motion). The cable will also charge your iPod video when connected to your compatible clarion headunit and the unit is on. Both compatible head units offers two iPod playback modes when connected to this adapter - Play Mode and iPod Menu Mode:

Play Mode: During Play Mode you can control the following playback functions of your iPod: Skip Tracks, Fast-forward/backward, Pause, Repeat, Random and Cancel.

iPod Menu Mode: The iPod Menu Mode allows you to select music for playback from your iPod by category (Playlist, Artist, Album, Song, Genre, or Composer). You can select between categories by using the head unit's numbered preset buttons 1-6. Once you have selected a category, you can search through the tracks in that particular category.

Chrysler unplugs Envi electric-vehicle division

Envi, the team of engineers charged with developing electric vehicles for Chrysler, has been disbanded. A spokesman told Reuters that development of electric cars will be integrated into the company's traditional structure. “Envi is absorbed into the normal vehicle-development program,” Chrysler spokesman Nick Cappa told the wire service.

The Toyota GT86 TRD Griffon (pictured) will be at the Goodwood FoS We’ve had a road-going version of the Toyota GT86 fettled by TRD and now we’re getting a track-focused version too. Just like the Toyota GT86 TRD, the Griffon version gets a makeover from Toyota Racing Division, and just like the road-going version – which costs £31,495 – the Griffon track version has to make do with the same 197bhp flat four engine the stock road car gets. But the changes to the GT86 Griffon are more extreme than the road-going version, with a focus on shedding weight and sharpening responses.

This 1990 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX rally car is featured on Bring a Trailer this morning, and it brings us right back to our rambunctious high school years. Sure, we didn't get our licenses until 1996, but that was the perfect time to find something a few years old--preferably with a turbocharger and a manual transmission—and hoon it to death. But while there were several Eclipses floating around our group of friends, none was as built as this car.
