Honda unveils UNI-CUB mobility device [w/video]

The UNI-Cub is an evolution of the company's U3-X concept, revealed in 2009, and is designed to give users as much freedom as possible. This has been achieved through the world's first omni-directional driving wheel system – Honda Omni Traction Drive System – as well as balance control technology.
Aston Martin expands personalization scheme

The British carmaker has announced that the ‘Works Tailored' personalization and customization department is expanding as part of a six-month development plan within the brand. The recently formed ‘Works Tailored' department, which works in close collaboration with engineers and designers, offers owners of Aston Martins of any age the chance to personalize their car to their exacting standards.
Rearview cameras may become mandatory
Fri, 02 Mar 2012Rearview cameras may become a mandatory feature in all passenger cars by 2014 if US Congress approves a rule submitted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Auto safety regulators have taken the decision to submit a final rule to Congress after figures emerged from non-profit group KidsandCars.org that stated that two children die and about 50 are injured every week when someone accidentally backs over them in a vehicle. In one quite shocking public-service announcement KidsAndCars.org showed that 62 children could fit behind a large SUV without being visible to the driver in any of the mirrors.
