In the early 1990s, the US government instigated the Partnership for a New Generation of Vehicles research program (PNGV). This brought Ford, GM and Chrysler together to collaborate in developing cars that could achieve up to 80mpg, and be ready to market by 2003. While working on the PNGV, in 1996 Ford introduced the Synergy 2010, featuring the firm's 'New Edge' design that debuted a year earlier with the GT90 concept.

Jaguar Land Rover reveals best ever sales

Jaguar Land Rover has announced it sold 425,006 vehicles in 2013 – a 19% rise on 2012, making it the firm’s best-ever year for global sales. Land Rover itself set another record, with 348,338 retail sales resulting in a 15% boost on 2012. For Jaguar, 76,668 sales made 2013 the division’s best year since 2005 – and was a 42% rise on 2012.

The 2010 Citroen C3 We first reported on the 2010 Citroen C3 back in June when Citroen released details of their new C3, but we had to wait until the Frankfurt Motor Show for the official launch of the C3. But now, five months after we first got to see where Citroen where going with the C3, they’ve released a humongous press release with every nuance of detail every prospective C3 buyer could need, so we thought we ought to do a quick re-cap / update on what the 2010 C3 has to offer in the UK. The Citroen C3 has been a big seller for Citroen – over 2 million have been shifted in one form or another – so it’s important to Citroen that they get the 2010 C3 right.
