The
Meziere 300 Series starters are designed with a slim profile. They provide
torque and spin speed characteristics that far surpass most gear reduction
starters. They use a robust drive and custom planetary gear reduction. Well
known among today's racers is the pain of starter failure. Because Meziere is
involved in the high performance automotive industry, they know the trouble
that enthusiasts are having and they try extremely hard to make products that
are needed but unavailable. Their starters are tested to the extreme and are
not sold until everything is right. Standard testing includes amp draw, power
and rotational speed under load, as well as free rev testing to ensure proper
balance of internal rotating parts. Meziere is raising the industry standard to
bring you truly trouble-free parts for your vehicle. The 300 Series “True
Start” starter will do well on any normally aspirated engine up to 565 cubic
inches. They have been useful in engines with larger displacement when
compression ratios are limited. A powerful motor provides 20% more power than
any Hitachi based starter. Technical

Aston Martin Rapide – First customer car
Fri, 07 May 2010The first Aston Martin Rapide leaves the factory It may not seem the biggest news in the world – Aston Martin Rapide leaves factory for customer’. After all, that is rather the point. But the gestation of the AM Rapide seems to have been so long it’s quite hard to remember who owned Aston Martin when the Rapide first poked its very elegant nose above the parapet, so it seems a big deal that complete cars are now heading out to customers.
Lotus lusts after Lutz?
Tue, 29 Jun 2010Lotus seem to be pursuing Bob Lutz The Lotus five year plan calls for the track day cars to make way for much more substantial and upmarket cars to become the force at Lotus; a move to become the Aston Martin East Anglia. Probably the first obvious move in this plan was to grab Dany Bahar from Ferrari last year (and Ferrari designer Donato Coco) and now Lotus are casting their net again to snare some big names to drive them forward. Top of the list is almost-octogenarian Bob Lutz who retired from GM – but certainly not from business – last year.
