E4130 STEEL BILLET INTERMEDIATE CLUTCH PRESSURE PLATE. THIS FULLY CNC MACHINED AND SHAPED COMPONENT ELIMINATES PRESSURE PLATE DEFLECTION VASTLY IMPROVING INTERMEDIATE CLUTCH PACK PERFORMANCE AND DURABILITY. THE FACTORY PRESSURE PLATE IS KNOWN TO BEND AND DEFLECT RESULTING IN PREMATURE CLUTCH FAILURE AND REDUCED PERFORMANCE. ALSO FITS 91-97 4L80E. PLATE MEASURES .375" THICK (THE SAME AS 1991-97 4L80E MODELS), MAKING IT .075" THINNER THAN THE STOCK TH400 PLATE. THIS ALLOWS AN EXTRA STEEL TO BE INSTALLED BETWEEN THE TOP CLUTCH AND PRESSURE PLATE INSULATING THE UPDATED PRESSURE PLATE FROM DAMAGE RESULTING FROM A FUTURE CLUTCH FAILURE. SLIGHT TAPPING MAY BE NECESSARY TO SEAT THE PLATE IN THE TRANSMISSION CASE. THIS TIGHT FIT IS INTENTIONAL AND IS DONE TO ELIMINATE THE PRESSURE PLATE MOVING IN THE CASE WHEN THE CLUTCH IS NOT APPLIED. PRICE INCLUDES SHIPPING ANYWHERE IN THE CONTINENTAL USA.
