Sat, 25 Dec 2010Red Bull’s 2010 Christmas Card Over the last couple of years we’ve featured Bernie Ecclestone’s Christmas Cards as our Christmas Day greeting to readers, as they’ve been by far the most amusing to come our way. In 2008 we saw Bernie’s Christmas card feature a mickey-take of Max Mosley and his extra cirruclar activities amongst the more ‘forceful’ working girls in London town. We followed that up in 2009 with Bernie’s Christmas card once again, this time featuring a mickey-take of his sometime business partner Flavio Briatore as a pirate.
Chevrolet Volt a step closer to full power with preproduction cars
Thu, 25 Jun 2009The Chevrolet Volt is nearing full power as preproduction cars are now prowling the roads around the General Motors Tech Center in suburban Detroit. These units show us what the real-world Volt looks like and bring together the final body, interior, electric powertrain and software for the first time. Some small details are lacking, such as the graining of the interior trim.

Fri, 16 Apr 2010Honda has released a promo video (below) for the Honda CR-Z Last month we got the specs and prices for the UK Honda CR-Z Hybrid, Honda’s modern hybrid take on the CR-X – they want us to believe. So having given us the buy price – it starts at £17k – and the specification – the basic gets Climate , CD player, heated door mirrors, rear dimming mirror, electric windows, daytime running lights and Shift Indicator Light (SIL) – it’s now time to get the marketing underway. Despite feeling that Honda are barking up the wrong tree by trying to make an underpowered hybrid powertrain seem an appealingly sporty prospect, we have to admire their wish to do so.
