New Jaguar XJ – best photo yet

The best picture yet of the new Jaguar XJ - due to be revealed in July Due to be shown officially in July, before a full presentation at Frankfurt in September, the new Jaguar XJ is designed to take the fight to BMW, Audi and Mercedes. And if how it looks is anything to go by Jaguar will have another big success on its hands, to go along with the XF. Although based on the existing XJ’s lightweight chassis (nothing wrong with that) but with a back end which is very much derived from the XF,  the car is totally re-skinned, and looks finally how a modern Jaguar luxury saloon should.

2013 Range Rover Hybrid confirmed

Jaguar Land Rover Director Hybrids and Electrification, Peter Richings, has confirmed the Range Rover hybrid will launch in 2013. From the new, entry-level 3.0 litre diesel Vogue to the 5.0 litre V8 Supercharged Range Rover Autobiography,  all the new Range Rovers offer more performance, more off-road ability (or certainly easier off-road running thanks to the new automatic Terrain Response) together with lower emissions and improved economy. But although the new 3.0 litre TDV6 Range Rover will offer 196g/km emissions and manage 37.7 mpg there is going to be a new Range Rover Hybrid that cuts emissions to just 169g/km.

Faster Cat: Arden tunes the Jaguar XKR 75

Jaguar celebrated its 75th anniversary with a number of special models, including the fleet-footed XKR 75. And a British tuner is goosing this lithe coupe even more. Arden boosts output to 580 hp and 531 lb-ft of twist, while bolting on a high-performance exhaust system and sport catalysts.
