Lamborghini sets record with 10,000th Gallardo

Lamborghini has achieved a production record by producing its 10,000th Gallardo--a number the Italian automaker has never before accomplished with another model. Before being delivered to its owner, the 10,000th Gallardo will be displayed in Shanghai during Lamborghini Day on June 25. “Production of car number 10,000 is a very important milestone for Lamborghini,” said Stephan Winkelmann, president and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini.

Call for Entries: CDN-GM Interactive Design Competition 2012

With temperatures soaring across North America, there's no better time to hunker down in an air-conditioned room with your pen, vellum, and markers (or, more realistically, your computer and tablet) and get working on your entries into the GM Interactive Design Competition 2012.  It's only been a month since the official launch of the 2012 GM Interactive Design Competition and we're already seeing strong participation and a very high level of quality for the entries. Open to all full-time college or university students from across the US and Canada, this competition is a great way to gain exposure, but also to keep up and improve your skills over the summer. Chrysler reveals SEMA projects

Chrysler teased a few of its SEMA vehicles in sketches earlier this month; now the company has unveiled its entire stand. Its display area at the Las Vegas Convention Center will show off 20 customized vehicles running the gamut from the Chrysler 300 to the Ram pickup and new Jeep Cherokee. The Ram Sun Chaser, in Vibrance Orange Blast and Brilliant Black, is based on the 1500 Quad Cab.
